NBC Moves "Earl" & "The Office"

earl3.jpgHot on the heels on Fox's midseason schedule announcement, Zap2it is reporting what many have been suspecting for weeks -- NBC will move hit comedies "My Name is Earl" and "The Office" to Thursdays in an effort to resuscitate its former "must-see" lineup.

The two comedies are making room for the return of "Scrubs," which will return to Tuesdays. Unfortunately, even though the two comedies have done very well paired together, now they have some tough competition -- against juggernaut "CSI."

Absent from the midseason lineup is the struggling spin-off "Joey." No word on whether the Matt Leblanc sitcom has been put out of its misery, but "Will & Grace" is moving into the 8:00 p.m. slot, with new sitcom "Four Kings" taking over at 8:30 p.m.

"Scrubs" returns to the NBC lineup on Tuesday, January 3. -- Rachel Cericola
