FX sure knows how to pick ‘em. They've got "Nip/Tuck," Denis Leary, and now they are adding to their repertoire. The Hollywood Reporter says that the cable network has signed English comedian Eddie Izzard to star in the drama "Low Life."
The show has Izzard playing father to a family of traveling con artists, who decides to settle down into a semi-normal life in suburbia.
FX also added "Dirt," a peek at the world of tabloid journalism from busy producers Courteney Cox and David Arquette. No word on casting, but it's rumored that Cox could be in front of the cameras as well.
If both pilots make the cut, expect to see them in early 2007. -- Rachel Cericola
