Fox Announces Midseason Schedule

24keifer.jpgI am looking forward to the next "American Idol" as much as the next viewer, but Fox isn't exactly winning friends or viewers with its midseason schedule. Zap2it says that "American Idol" is staying put, but there's a whole lot of other shifting going on. Here's the lineup:

Monday: Skating with Celebrities (starts 1/23/06), 24 (starts 1/15/06)

Tuesday: American Idol (starts 1/17/06), House

Wednesday: American Idol (starts 1/18/06), Bones (as of 1/25/06)

Thursday: The O.C., That ‘70s Show (as of 3/2/06), Stacked (as of 3/2/06)

Friday: The Bernie Mac Show, Malcolm in the Middle, Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy (as of 1/6/06)

Saturday: Cops, Cops, America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back

Sunday: Encore Fox Comedies, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, The War at Home, Family Guy, American Dad

"Encore Fox Comedies" is a rotating crap-o-rama of whatever Fox feels like replaying from the week.

And in case you are keeping score at home, the network just had to take off "Arrested Development" for -- that's right -- "Skating with Celebrities." The freshman drama "Prison Break" is going on hiatus until March 20. Also, "Killer Instinct" will have its last hurrah on December 2.

Another "interesting" move: Comedies "That '70s Show" and "Stacked" are moving to the coveted Thursday at 9:00 p.m. timeslot -- up against "CSI." Good luck, suckers! -- Rachel Cericola
