Cowell Premieres "Star Duets"

cowell.jpgSimon Cowell may be a tough guy on "American Idol," but we shall see if he sings a different tune when it comes to the celebrity contestants on his new show, "Star Duets."

RTE is reporting that everyone's favorite panelist just unveiled the show, which will air on ITV in the UK. The idea is to have famous people pair up in front of a live studio audience. Sounds a bit like "But Can They Sing?" Hopefully Cowell's picks actually can, because that VH-1 show is just painful.

No word on who Cowell has lined up to perform, but the winners will be determined by a panel of judges instead of the audience.
