"24" Taps Broadway

jatkinson.jpgThis season of "24" is giving its regards to Broadway -- or at least they are pilfering some of its stars. Playbill says that stage veterans Jayne Atkinson and Stephen Spinella will be added to the Fox hit this season.

The cast certainly is growing. A slew of new people, including Sean Astin, Jean Smart and Peter Weller, have already been added for this year. This latest duo will play a team sent by Homeland Security. Atkinson and Spinella aren't exactly strangers, recently costarring in a revival of "Our Town."

The new season of "24" premieres over two nights January 15 to 16, each starting at 8:00 p.m. (EST), on Fox. -- Rachel Cericola
