The Futon Critic is reporting that two of the WB's freshman series will get additional episodes -- although neither has gotten a full-season order.
The brainchild of executive producer Marta Kauffman ("Friends"), "Related" will get six more episodes, for a total of 19 this season. The one-hour dramedy about four fun-loving sisters in New York stars Jennifer Esposito ("Crash").
"Twins" will get another five episodes. The title pretty much explains the show, but who cares -- it's got Melanie Griffith, Sara Gilbert ("Rosanne") and Mark Linn-Baker (cousin Larry from "Perfect Strangers").
A full order is 22 episodes for the season. Supposedly the WB didn't want to commit to that many for each in an effort to save some cash.
"Related" airs Mondays and "Twins" is on Fridays. Both shows air at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on the WB. -- Rachel Cericola
Related is a great show. Don't let it go off the air!
