Oxygen Gets Some Action

It's about time that the ladies saw some action! Broadcasting & Cable says that the Oxygen Network is planning a to enter the thriller market with the original movie, "Banshee."

The made-for-TV pic stars Taryn Manning ("Hustle and Flow") as a car thief who swipes a killer's car. She'd better have comfortable walking shoes, because the rest of the movie has her hauling some serious ass!

It's a nice change from the network's current Oprah-Ellen-Tyra-saturated lineup.

"Banshee" is expected to air in mid-to-late 2006 on Oxygen. -- Rachel Cericola
