NBC Buys New Bushnell Series

bushnell.jpgNeed more sex? It seems like more of Candace Bushnell's girls are ready to take on the city. BBC News is reporting that the "Sex and the City" creator has signed a deal to create her new book, "Lipstick Jungle" into another TV series.

It's the story of three big-time career women -- a fashion designer, a film producer and a magazine executive -- living in New York. Not too much of a stretch, right? Just don't expect Mr. Big. These are sisters are doing it for themselves. Producer Robin Schiff, who will co-write the series with Bushnell, said it was rare to see a TV series about "powerful women."

It looks like a good move for NBC. After all, the last episode of "Sex" got 10 million viewers. No word on when the pilot might air. -- Rachel Cericola
