MTV Scores Jamie Kennedy

With the experiment now completed, Jamie Kennedy has a lot of free time on his hands -- or at least he did. UPI says that he is currently working on a half-reality/half-scripted series for MTV.

In "Blowin' Up," Kennedy sort of takes on his "Malibu's Most Wanted" persona, shaking hands and crashing meetings in search of a record deal. He and best bud Stu Stone are actually planning to record music. I am actually planning not to listen to it.

Who knows: Maybe he is the next Keanu Reeves, Kevin Bacon, Joey Lawrence, and Lindsay Lohan all wrapped into one funny package. It has to be better than "Son of the Mask."

The series will premiere at some point in 2006. No word on when or how many episodes to expect. -- Rachel Cericola
