"Lost" Hits the Smaller Screen

2005_lost_jack_nolley.jpgJust when you thought that "Lost" couldn't pop up anywhere else, it's now available on your mobile phone. Our sister site, Sci-Fi Fodder, is reporting that ABC seems to be milking the hit show quite nicely, creating original material for specific Verizon handhelds.

That's right -- they also know a good tie-in when they see one, choosing to partner with the V Cast mobile service. Various two-minute episodes, titled the "Lost Video Diaries," will feature some of the lesser-known characters that haven't gotten as much screen time. Producers are expecting to shoot at least 22 of the mini episodes; six will be exclusive to the season two DVD set, but all will be in the package. They sure know how to get you, don't they?

The "Lost Video Diaries" will begin on Verizon's V Cast this January. "Lost" airs every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on ABC. For "Lost" reviews and news, visit Film Fodder's Lost Blog. -- Rachel Cericola
