DirecTV Launches Original Series

I want my DirecTV! At least that's what the satellite provider wants to hear. Maybe that's why Reuters says that the satellite provider plans to launch its first original series, "CD USA."

The weekly show will feature live performances, interviews and more. Some of the artists already scheduled include the Goo Goo Dolls, Sean Paul, Ben Harper, David Gray, and some up-and-comers that are featured on MySpace.com.

Huh? MySpace.com is part of News Corp., which is also part of -- you guessed it -- DirecTV.

"CD USA" debuts to DirecTV's 15 million subscribers in January. -- Rachel Cericola
