CBS Keeps "Close to Home"

When I heard Broadcasting & Cable reporting that CBS had picked up "Close to Home," all I thought was -- what is that?

Apparently this one didn't launch until October. And sorry, but I am lost in all of these lawyer shows. A lot of people think there are too many lawyers in this world. There must be, since there are so many TV shows that cater to them. This one stars Jennifer Finnigan ("Committed") and Kimberly Elise ("Diary of a Mad Black Woman"). Doesn't matter what I think -- CBS has enough faith to give the drama a full 22-episode order.

"Close to Home" airs every Friday at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on CBS. --- Rachel Cericola
