It may seem like a joke to Vincent Chase on "Entourage," but the concept of Aquaman coming to the small screen is no joke. The Sci Fi Wire says that the character is being branched out for his own show on the WB.
Just don't expect to see the goofy suit or the DC Comics hero singing about the wonders of "Under the Sea." The producers say it will follow the "Smallville" formula, focusing more on the man than his magic.
In a sort of bizarre statement, the producers said the show will not be a "Smallville" spin-off, even though he just made his first appearance on the WB. I guess it's their way of telling Alan Ritchson, who is currently playing a young Arthur Curry, that he's not in the running for the new role. No word on when the pilot will air. -- Rachel Cericola
