Talk about a big turkey. I'm away for one day, and this is what happens. After five seasons, USA Today says that ABC is pulling the plug on "Alias."
The news is not all that surprising. The rumor was that Jennifer Garner had outgrown the small screen -- and not just because of her very pregnant belly. They brought in a slew of new characters this season, but sometimes too much is not enough. There is no official word on why it's wrapping up, but don't expect it to go out with a whimper.
Apparently everything will wrap up everything in a nice, explosive package; the last episode will air at the end of the fifth season in May 2006.
For now, "Alias" airs every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on ABC. For more "Alias" news, visit TV Fodder's Alias News section. -- Rachel Cericola
