A Second Life for "Simple"

simplelife.jpgJust when you thought Paris Hilton would have to stop working -- perish the thought -- it seems as though her posh life is about to get rough again. E! Online is reporting that "The Simple Life" has been picked up by the E! network.

Fox announced recently that it was pulling the plug on the show; no exact reason had been given, but there was much speculation that stars Hilton and Nicole Richie. Apparently the two can put aside their petty differences to collect a paycheck.

The fourth season (first for E!) will debut in spring 2006 under the subtitle of "Till Death Do Us Part." That makes sense, since cancellation didn't seem to do anything. Each of the season's 10 episodes will focus on having the girls perform spousal tests, such as cleaning house, making dinner and taking care of the kids.

As part of the deal, E! will also retain rights to air previous seasons of "The Simple Life." Expect to see the existing 36 episodes rolling on a continuous loop to help boost the new season. -- Rachel Cericola
