White Stripes To Play "The Daily Show"

WhiteStripes.jpgWith all of the guests that have graced "The Daily Show" stage, it's hard to believe that none of them broke out into song -- well, on purpose anyway. TV Week says that The White Stripes will be the first band to break through that silence.

It's a weird forum for them, but this is the same duo that debuted their latest video on kiddie channel Nickelodeon. And Jack White doesn't exactly seem like the type that can crack wise. Maybe he just expresses himself better through song. Either way, Jon Stewart has magical powers that can stroke the funny bone of any man (or woman), so it should be worth your TiVo space.

The episode is scheduled to air Thursday, December 1. "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" airs every Monday through Thursday at 11:00 p.m. (EST) on Comedy Central. -- Rachel Cericola
