"West Wing" Goes Live

westwing.jpgPresidential candidates Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits) and Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda) are going to have to "Wing"-it. The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that the two castmates will duke it out on live on an upcoming episode of NBC's "The West Wing."

I smell an Emmy, although performing live really didn't do much for "ER" a few seasons back, and "Will & Grace" have already shown off their live-acting chops this season. Although neither of those shows were trying to replace Martin Sheen, which might bring a nice boost to the show's new Sunday timeslot. Like "Will & Grace," this episode will air twice: once for each coast.

The live episode will air Sunday, November 6. "The West Wing" airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
