USA Gets Rights to "Virgin"

virgin2.jpgUSA Network is about to enter "Virgin" territory. TV Week is reporting that the cable network has bested the bigger boys, acquiring the rights to air "40 Year-Old Virgin," the summer blockbuster starring Steve Carell.

The movie was one of the bigger blockbusters of the summer, producing a haul of about $104 million. That's no small feat, considering it didn't have any Cruises, Crowes or Brangelina.

The movie is part of a bigger deal, which includes rights to the Kate Hudson thriller "The Skeleton Key" and Joss Whedon's "Serenity." Expect those two to air sometime in 2008. -- Rachel Cericola
