Comedy Central is a great forum for new comics. Unfortunately, the performances get chopped into teeny tiny bits because of FCC regulations and people's inability to change the channel. Buffalo's WIVB is reporting that cable channel Starz InBlack will allow comedians a chance to show their stuff, uncut, in the new series, "1st Amendment Stand-Up."
The roster includes Ralphie May ("Last Comic Standing"), Miguel Nunez ("Joey"), and Joey Diaz ("The Longest Yard"), among others. A total of 13 episodes will air. Each week, comedian Doug Williams ("Club Comic View") will host the lineup.
"The 1st Amendment Stand-Up" premieres this Friday, October 14, and will air every Friday for a total of 13 weeks in its 10:00 p.m. (EST) timeslot on Starz InBlack. -- Rachel Cericola
