Sir Elton: The Sitcom

john.jpgI always thought that Elton John was slightly humorous -- at least some of his outfits have been (take a gander to your right). Now someone is going to pay for a piece of that wit.

The Chicago-Sun Times says that ABC has ordered a sitcom pilot from Sir Elton, titled "Him and Us." It's about a rock star and his entourage. Sounds sort of like HBO's "Entourage," without the master acting of Jeremy Piven.

But you have to hug it out for Elton, bitches. After all, he's no stranger to TV comedy. His resume includes guest spots on "Will & Grace," "The Simpsons," "Absolutely Fabulous," "South Park" and "Ally McBeal," among others.

John, along with long-time collaborator Bernie Taupin, will write original music for the show. John will executive produce and Cindy Chupack, former executive producer of "Sex and the City," is writing the script.

No word on when the show is expected to air. -- Rachel Cericola
