Sci Fi's Spooktacular Deal

saw.jpgExpect a few things to go bump in the night -- at least until the commercial breaks. Variety says that the Sci Fi Channel has signed a deal to air a dozen of films from Lions Gate Entertainment.

What does $12 million buy these days? The rights to broadcast horror flicks like "Cabin Fever," "Alone in the Dark" and "House of the Dead," among others. It's actually not a bad package, considering half of the purchase price was for rights to air the blockbuster, "Saw."

Look for the films to start popping up in your cable lineup later this year. -- Rachel Cericola
