It's always nice to see someone from "Melrose Place" move on. Not that it was a stellar series or filled with fine performances, but man -- I miss the cheesy drama. Happily, the Boston Herald says that Rob Estes (you might remember him as Kyle) has signed on for the new ABC drama, "Evidence."
Estes will replace Nicky Katt ("Sin City") as inspector Sean Cole. Although his character's name has a very "Melrose" ring to it, don't expect the same type of drama with a supporting cast like Oscar winner Martin Landau. Not to worry; Estes will always have a piece of "Melrose" in his heart. After all, he married cast cutie Josie Bissett.
According to his IMDB.com entry, Estes is currently in pre-production on the new Kristen Davis ("Sex and the City") dramedy, "Soccer Moms." No word on what's going on with that show or his character.
"The Evidence" will enter primetime as a midseason replacement for ABC. There's currently no word on its premiere date or timeslot. -- Rachel Cericola
