Rachael Ray: The Magazine

rray.jpgRachael Ray is the new Martha. She's got TV shows and cookbooks, but she has something else behind her -- Oprah. She also has no criminal record (that we know of). Now Adweek says that she can add something else to her growing empire: a magazine. "Reader's Digest" is launching "Every Day with Rachael Ray," a glossy magazine that aims to mirror Ray's perky presence, but in print.

Expect tons of recipes, photos and entertainment advice. "This is an opportunity for me to reach fans in a whole new way," said Ray. Yeah -- and to collect $3.99 from them on a bi-monthly basis.

The magazine is scheduled to hit newsstands nationwide on October 25, 2005. -- Rachel Cericola
