How to keep a sitcom star happy 101: Let them do whatever the hell they want. The Hollywood Reporter says that "My Name is Earl" star Jason Lee is currently producing projects for both NBC and MTV.
His production company, Niva Films, which includes Scott Martin ("Vanilla Sky") and Lee's fiance/actress Beth Risegraf, has already completed "The Stereo Sound Agency," a retro-style variety show. Lee will serve as the executive producer and the co-host. The other host, Chris Pastras, is Lee's partner in the company Stereo Skateboards. See how it all comes together? Danny Masterson ("That '70s Show"), Bijou Phillips and Drea de Matteo ("Joey") all appear in the pilot episode.
His other project, an untitled drama for NBC, will be based on the true story of club owner John Miller, who spent his "free time" working as a British spy.
It's about time that someone acknowledged that this guy has appeal. "The Stereo Sound Agency" is expected to air late next year on MTV. -- Rachel Cericola
