Jimmy Kimmel Through 2006

kimmel2.jpgSomeone must be watching. Zap2it says that ABC has decided to pick up Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show through 2006.

Although he has yet to be mentioned in the same breath as Leno or Letterman, the guy has done a pretty respectable job. It's also helped that his show starts 30 minutes later than the big boys. Once their monologues are over, it can often be prime flipping time.

The announcement comes after Kimmel just experienced a ratings bump, making his highest numbers yet. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs weeknights at 12:05 a.m. (EST) on ABC. -- Rachel Cericola
