"Inconceivable" Takes a Pause

inconceivable.jpgIt looks like NBC is having problems giving birth to a Friday night hit. The Futon Critic says that the new drama "Inconceivable" has been yanked from this Friday's lineup. The network has decided to air a proven ratings-winner instead, putting a repeat of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" in its place.

What's with this season? Networks are only giving new shows two times and they're out of production? It seems to be the trend. First, FOX cut the Chris O'Donnell/Adam Goldberg buddy/lawyer comedy/drama "Head Cases." Then UPN just announced they were halting production on the Denise Richards' drama "Sex, Love and Secrets."

A show about fertility doctors seemed like it could be a tough sell. "Inconceivable" stars Angie Harmon and Ming-Na. It hasn't been officially cancelled, but skipping week number three isn't exactly a good sign.

"Inconceivable" is scheduled to return on October 14 in its regular timeslot: Fridays at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
