"House" Call for Cynthia Nixon

Carrie got the guy and continues to bring home the bacon, but it's the cynical redhead that's making the most of her post-"Sex and the City" time. After extremely dramatic turns in NBC's "ER" and the HBO movie "Warm Springs," Softpedia says that Cynthia Nixon will appear on the FOX medical drama "House."

The Emmy winner will play a seizure-prone patient that matches wits with Hugh Laurie's title character. The episode is scheduled to air this December.

"House" is currently on hiatus during the baseball playoffs. Expect it to return with new episodes on Tuesday, November 1 at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on FOX. -- Rachel Cericola
