HBO Resurrects Alan Ball

sixfeet2.jpg"Six Feet Under" fans can stop mourning. Just months after the dear show has departed, the Hollywood Reporter says that creator Alan Ball is cooking up another idea with HBO.

As part of his two-year deal, Ball will start developing a show based on the "Southern Vampire" book series. He will write and direct the hourlong pilot. Where it all goes from there, no one knows yet.

Instead of tackling the dead, the new show will capture the relationships between the human world and the undead hanging around rural Louisiana.

Ball says he expects to start shooting the pilot sometime next year. -- Rachel Cericola
