Talk about instant karma: "My Name is Earl" has been very good this year, and now NBC is rewarding them. Digital Spy says that the network has picked the Jason Lee sitcom up for a full season.
"Earl" is the first new show of the season to get a full order -- a total of 22 episodes. The show has bumped NBC's viewership up 61 percent over the past show in its timeslot, "Father of the Pride."
The story follows a petty thief/loser (Lee), who tries to make amends for his wrongdoings after getting an epiphany from the almighty Carson Daly (yes, that Carson Daly). It's weird, it's funny and it's well written. It's also helping out ratings for "The Office," which airs right after.
"My Name is Earl" airs Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
