FX Orders More "Shield"

FX knows a good thing when they see it. Hot on the heels of multiple Emmy nominations, The Futon Critic says that the cable network has locked in "The Shield" for an additional eight episodes.

The episodes will be part of the fifth season, which starts up this January, bringing the run to a total of 21 episodes.

"The Shield" stars Emmy winner Michael Chiklis and recent nominees Glenn Close and CCH Pounder. Actor/director Forest Whitaker is also getting added to the impressive roster this year. -- Rachel Cericola
