Eating disorders are funny, right? Maybe not. CNN says that FX has cut "Starved," the show that satirized four people's problems with food.
The show garnered a lot of publicity -- most of it bad -- after many eating-disorder groups expressed their outrage over this lighthearted look at their number one cause. Hey -- even the sick have a sense of humor, right? Ultimately, it was not good taste that won over the network bigwigs; it was all about numbers and marketing dollars.
FX has decided to put its resources into another struggling sitcom, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." The show is doing slightly better and could probably gain even more momentum if it wasn't for that long-ass title.
The network does plan to burn off the rest of this season's episodes, so you might be able to catch some of "Starved." Its usual timeslot is Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on FX.
