Fox Signs "Santa"

badsanta.jpgWhat do you want for Christmas? Well it had better be good, because the nation will be listening. That's right, kids -- MSNBC says that some of the letters to Santa will be heard by all in a special titled "Dear Santa."

The show will be promoted at post offices around the country, since they will supply the letters. If Santa isn't the one opening them, could that be considered a felony?

Oh well -- expect to see plenty of Christmas cheer to compete with feel-good shows like ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and NBC's "Three Wishes."

Of course, FOX is also planning a tie-in album, because the holiday just isn't commercial enough.

"Dear Santa" airs December 9 at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on FOX. -- Rachel Cericola
