Fox Out to "Destroy All Humans"

humans.jpgWill FOX demolish gamer favorite "Destroy All Humans?" The Sci Fi Wire says that the network has bought the rights to THQ's best-selling video game, and plans to make it into a computer-animated comedy.

The game is a bit reminiscent of the 1996 Tim Burton extravaganza "Mars Attacks!" Spoofing 1950's B-movies, the game pits you against the alien that is hell bent on ridding the universe of our favorite planet.

This marks the first time that a video game will be turned into a primetime network program. Considering how fast FOX bailed on cult hit "Futurama," it's hard to have much hope. However, "King of the Hill" writer/co-executive producer Jim Dauterive is helming the whole project. I just hope they don't banish "Humans" to a similar timeslot. -- Rachel Cericola
