Comedy Central Adds Sandler, Silverman

sandler.jpgComedy Central cannot live on "South Park" and "Mad TV" reruns alone. Well, maybe "South Park." Either way, the Hollywood Reporter says that the cable channel is kicking things into high gear by unveiling a plan for at least a dozen new shows.

That's right kids; they are a real network now, which requires more than beating old Chappelle shows to death, hoping that he comes to his senses. It's time to move on.

None of the announcement included reruns and cast-offs or involved eating bugs, shocking your testicles or other jackassery -- although Wee Man's name is attached to the pilot roster. Others include Jimmy Kimmel squeeze Sarah Silverman, "Daily Show" maniac Lewis Black, and a project titled "Gay Robot" from Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. -- Rachel Cericola
