"Blue" Guys Back on the Beat

franz.jpgImagine "NYPD Blue" with the F-word. It's really not that difficult; you know that Andy Sipowicz was thinking it plenty of times. Now he can spew obscenities at will. Entertainment Weekly says that he will be back -- sort of. A few of the minds behind "Blue" are back on the beat, working on a new cop drama for HBO.

David Milch and Bill Clark, two of "NYPD Blue's" former producers, are working on a show based on Clark's experiences as a rookie working undercover. In case Clark doesn't sound familiar, he was also the basis for Sipowicz.

The deal is part of Milch's other duties at HBO -- he's the creator, writer and producer of "Deadwood." So yes, expect plenty of four-lettered words. But for now, you'll have to keep spewing them yourself; there's no word on when the new show might premiere. -- Rachel Cericola
