Al Sharpton Makes "Sharp Talk"

sharpton.jpgWhatever happens in the barbershop is now up for public consumption. I'm not talking about Ice Cube's 2002 comedy; EUR Web is reporting that the Reverend Al Sharpton is making Brooklyn's Levels barbershop the forum for his new talk show, "Sharp Talk."

The half-hour series will invite a slew of celebrities, sports figures, authors, artists, politicians and more, to come down to the barbershop and debate the day's events from the African-American perspective.

The first episode will tackle the role of the African American father. Guests will include Peter Holoman, director of the Male Development and Empowerment Center at Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York, WCBS-TV news anchor Shon Gables and hip-hop artist and activist Doug E. Fresh.

"Sharp Talk" premieres Friday, October 28 at 8:30 p.m. (EST) on TV One. -- Rachel Cericola

Mr. Sharpton,
Recently I was in Staten Island on Davis ave.between Castleton and Forest ave. I saw a car with Staten Island Plates which read 'LYNCHLAW".As a black man this blew me away,to think that the State is supporting this raceist veiw.I know what would happen if it read hitlers Law. Question, "Is there anything that could be done about this?" A bumper sticker is one thing but Licence tags is another, in my veiw.

Today July 1, 2007 I wasthed this program and one segment was from a yong lady who said something like... at a restaurant a server forgot to put a lid on some corn andher 3 yr old son said that he did it "because they were black" She marveldd that at his age he recognized this as discrimination. My view differs. I think that the child parroted the views he hears in his home. If he had been told that things of this nature were due to incompetence he'd have said a more appropriate answer. he is being taugt to BE discrimated against. This activity is what has kept blacks from becoming equal, they don't WANT to be equal, they want to be pitied for being discriminated against. Sharpton and others make their living from this view. They don't want it to change. What would they do for a living if they were equal?

Mr. Sharpton,
I desperately need your help. I have been assaulted on the job by a co-worker. This co-worker has intentionally push and shoved several co-workers. Name calling by co-workers and Supervisor. I work in a very abusive, hostile, harassing, environment. My Supervisor has (12) EEO comments filed against him and he his still employed. Management intentionally sent all blacks to watch and harass me. Even appointed a Black EEO investigator. I have been railroaded and they put this black man in the office as the middle man to remove me and the EEOC I feel is behind everything. I heard the District Manager is dating someone in the EEOC office, Supervisor over the carriers, retired in June 2007, I heard he is kin to someone in the EEOC. After I filed my complaint a lot of changes occurred. I am receiving a lot of calls and hang up. They intentionally removed me so I could not afford an attorney. I have everything document and they are aware of this, therefore they are trying not to make it in a court room; because I have too much evident. It has already been establish July 31, 2002 climatic survey that Mr. Reed, my Supervisor creates a hostile environment. That is what I filed my EEO regarding including harassment and disparity of treatment. Please contact me as soon as possible, at 770-471-8246 or 678-602-1637. I need to talk to someone regarding my case and Mr. Sharpton you are the man. I have been railroaded in the worse one. I believe my case was approved by EEOC and they were waiting to get something on me so they could deny my case. A Supervisor detailed in my unit removed me first and then told me afterwards why, he made up a reason. This man was put in my unit to harass/retaliate against me so my case could be denied and not heard. I would like to give you all my documents and get your expert opinion and go from there. What is disturbing this man has (12) EEOs against him and they refused to take appropriate action. No one has ever been in a court room to tell their story; because their cases are being denied so we can't go in a court room. This man has 12 EEOs and laugh about it. I want justice.

as i sit and reminisce about along time ago when black people couldn't even go to the corner store. we all stood together, because we all lacked we all had that big fat monkey on our backs no this not that step back if you black then martin luther king came and changed all that, but it seems like over time black folks done lost their mindsthen hatred slid on in and brought black on black crime iam ashame to say even here today Dr king lost his life for us to act this way we treat each other bad we make each mad we kill each other dead over what someone said how will we ever change if we remain the same we letting our prize drop this here we must stop.

On your show June 1, 2009. There was a man from South Carolina who stated that he did not see racism in his youth. Wher has he been locked up in the barn? I see it now as well as in my youth. I was born in 1937.
About the payback, How will it come? in a check or in some other means?
There was pay for the Japanese who were imprisoned during the start of WWII. There was some mention of blacks, but that was as far as it gor.
I enjoy your show. Keep up the good works.
Another thought, Is there not racism aimed at President Obama? Why is he under the microscope of Rush? and all the staff of Fox News?
There was no dialog on the Bush Chaney activities. It was suppose to be good for the country. What a mess they made of World situations?
