A "Sin" Indeed

sincity_murphy.jpgI don't think I've heard this much blasphemy since they made "Breaking Away" into a sitcom. The TV Squad says that the Weinsteins are eyeing "Sin City" as a weekly series. Unfortunately, there is no punchline.

Who knows; it could work. However, it had better be bound for HBO or another pay-cable station, because reduced violence, family-friendly dialogue and no sex will probably equal very little interest to fans of the graphic novels, the movie, and its impending sequel. My guess is that those channels won't exactly be pouring the cash into production values though -- mainly because they don't have that much of it.

The post-Miramax outfit, The Weinstein Co., might want to go back and rethink their TV game plan. They're also planning a modeling reality show, "Project Catwalk," hosted by Elizabeth Hurley. Gee, it doesn't too much like the Heidi Klum vehicle, "Project Runway." Up next: "Temptation Island: The Wife Swap." -- Rachel Cericola
