Tonight: Live "Will & Grace"

willgrace.jpgI bet if you laid out every episode of "Will & Grace," you'd be hard pressed to find many "regular" episodes. Every one of them seems like a special or some type of extravaganza. Sometimes there is too much of a good thing.

Bella Online says that tonight's premiere will be live. They've pretty much had every guest star under the sun, so that would be the next logical step. While they certainly won't be breaking any new ground, even for the former "must-see" lineup, it's a noble effort. One way they are taking it a step further: They will perform the episode twice -- once for each coast. Everyone will certainly be on their toes, because the rumor is that if jokes don't go over well with the audience, the writers will make changes for the second performance.

That's a good plan since the long-running comedy has some serious competition from the premiere of ABC's "Alias," which starts at 8:00 p.m. (EST). This season has had some huge buzz. It could be the last, Vaughn may die, Sydney will be a mommy and there are new characters aplenty. It sounds like "Melrose Place," except with awesome action!

The eighth season of "Will & Grace" starts tonight at 8:30 p.m. (EST/PST) on NBC. For more "Alias" news, visit TV Fodder's "Alias" news section. -- Rachel Cericola
