Tonight, TV magic will happen -- and I'm not talking about "Desperate Housewives." The San Francisco Chronicle says that if there were ever two shows that deserved a plug, it's tonight's hour of funny on HBO. I have to agree.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" comes back to cable, with 10 new episodes. I am getting antsy and uncomfortable just thinking about the fifth season. It's been 18 months, which is enough already. Without going into too many details, we can expect familiar faces such as Ted Danson, Richard Lewis and Wanda Sykes. And for tonight's episode -- how can something with the title "The Larry David Sandwich" not be pass-out-from-laughing funny?
Right after, is the premiere of Ricky Gervais' new show, "Extras." Everyone seems to have high hopes for the show, and they should -- it's by the guy that created both the British and U.S. versions of "The Office!" Gervais stars as an aspiring actor who quits his day job for a sour stab at Hollywood. A bitter Gervais? Imagine that. Well, you don't have to. Just watch the show -- and look for tonight's guest star, Kate Winslet.
The laughs start tonight at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on HBO. -- Rachel Cericola
