"The O.C" Becomes "The Game"

OC.jpgA lot of great video games have come out of movies and TV: "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Alias," "Spider-man" ... but "The O.C.?"

News Interactive is reporting that Gameloft is planning to turn the teen soap into a mobile video game. Expect Sims-style action, as you assume one of the main characters and create a better life for yourself, joining the right cliques, driving the best cars and getting it on with the right people. Hey -- it's got to be more realistic than the actual show.

The game is scheduled to launch sometime next year. Gameloft has recently developed games based on big-screen adaptations of "King Kong" and "War of the Worlds." -- Rachel Cericola
