"Survivor" Indicted on Tax Evasion

hatch.jpgThe alliance certainly has spoken. USA Today is reporting that the IRS has come down on "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch, for allegedly not paying taxes on his $1 million in winnings as well as other income.

Hatch was the first person to make it all the way through CBS' reality show, and was also the first one to show his naked ass while doing it. He faces a total of 10 charges, including tax evasion, filing a false return, wire fraud, bank fraud and mail fraud. Earlier this year, Hatch had pulled out of a plea bargain, claiming that he thought CBS was responsible for the taxes on his winnings.

Other allegations accuse Hatch of misusing funds from a non-profit camp that he set up. Apparently, eating bugs and rats does not increase brainpower.

If found guilty, Hatch can expect to spend about 75 years in prison, and pay millions in fines. That has to be better than another season of "Battle of the Network Reality Stars," right? -- Rachel Cericola
