Steve Carell Hosts "SNL" Premiere

40yrold.jpgI've heard a lot of comparisons between Ben Stiller and Steve Carell lately, and it's not just because the two have shared screen time in blockbusters such as "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and are connected in the Frat Pack through his many associations with Will Ferrell. Bottom line: The guy is everywhere these days.

Fresh of the box office boom of "The 40 Year-Old Virgin," MSNBC says that Carell will host the premiere of "Saturday Night Live" next weekend. The show also has another recent headliner attached -- Kanye West will serve as the musical guest.

The 31st season of "Saturday Night Live" kicks off Saturday, October 1 at 11:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
