"South Park" Gets Picked Up

park.jpgYou can keep killing Kenny, but you can't stop a freight train like "South Park." Zap2it is reporting that Comedy Central has picked the animated show up for three more years.

The new deal calls for 14 episodes per season, through 2008. New episodes will be hitting the cable network this October. Once they burn through that crop, the new contract kicks in. Not bad for a cast of characters that includes a talking piece of poop.

"South Park" returns to Comedy Central on October 19. -- Rachel Cericola

God bless them. I remember seeing the bootleg "Spirit of Christmas" short way back when -- I never thought the guys who pitted Jesus against Santa Claus would put forth so much genius for such a long period of time.

Incidentally, "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" is the greatest musical of all time. Thank you.
