The band has spoken! It was the final curtain call for contestants of "Rock Star: INXS." E! Online is reporting that former Elvis impersonator J.D. Fortune will be fronting the former hit-makers.
Canadian-born Fortune competed in what was billed as a worldwide talent search to replace the late Michael Hutchence. Frankly, I think it seemed like they dipped into a very small pool. If I had to pick one, I would have gone with Marty, but hey -- it's not my tour bus.
I'm just happy that I will no longer have to listen to Dave Navarro crush my college dreams of Jane's Addiction. And enough with Brooke Burke! I understand the hot chick factor, but next time, just get a photo of her -- it has a lot more personality.
"It's an understatement to say this is a dream come true," Fortune says. Damn straight, buddy. You'd better thank your lucky stars. The band plans to take their freak show on the road very soon. -- Rachel Cericola
The choice of J.D. is a travesty, but I think I know why the band passed on Marty: He freaked them out. Or maybe he was *too* talented and they knew J.D. wouldn't pull any "well, it's been six weeks so now I'm going solo" moves. Whatever ... Jordis would have won this thing if she hadn't fallen off the cliff three weeks ago.
