Oprah Accepts Hermes Apology

oprah.jpgWhat the hell is wrong with Oprah? Zap2it says that the daytime diva had the CEO from Hermes on her show yesterday to apologize for not letting her shop back in June. Wasn't that nice of her?

Basically, Robert Chavez, president and CEO of Hermes USA, had to fly out there and appear on the show, apologizing for not letting Oprah shop there because the store was in the process of closing for the day. Um, where is my apology? I can't shop there because everything is too damn expensive.

Oprah basically wanted to set the record straight and tell everyone that she did not have a hissy fit. Instead, she saved her tantrum for the air. I know that Oprah does a lot of good in this world, but c'mon people -- bitching and swearing does not always equal a hissy fit. Making the president and CEO of a company come and appear on national TV to apologize for not making his staff work late to accommodate you is good enough for this viewer.

She actually claims that it was the rudeness of one employee that offended her, whom I'm sure has since been fired. Rude people? Welcome to my world, honey.

I think Oprah is great. Maybe out of kindness & politeness Oprah should have been able to shop.

She would have advertised good for your shop.

She is too kind, so why could you have not been kind enough.

I think the sales clerk at Hermes should have been given a promotion for not letting Oprah in. Why is she different from anyone else? The store was closed and and the people inside were fininshing their shopping. The sales clerk had probably been working all day for minimum wage and wanted to go home. Poor Oprah! Shame on her and all the publicity she garnered from her trip to Paris. She could have stayed home and shopped and spent her money in the USA. Or ordered on line! Boo Hoo to Oprah.

Amen to that!

Besides, I still have not forgive her to giving us Dr. Phil...
