Kimmel Heads to Detroit

kimmel.jpgJimmy Kimmel used to be a man's man. As a founder and host of "The Man Show," the guy got off doing manly things, and dammit, we loved him for it. Obviously others did too, or he wouldn't have gotten his sweaty mitts on a talk show.

However, when the guy signed his contract, he obviously had to give up all rights to his brain too, or else ABC News wouldn't be reporting how he is taking his late-night show to Detroit in an effort to apologize to Pistons fans.

"They're going to burn the city of Detroit down if the Pistons win, and it's not worth it," Kimmel remarked back in June. The guy is a comedian. Like him or not, everyone should get over it -- especially Kimmel. He already apologized on the air. I smell a publicity ploy.

Jimmy Kimmel and the Sunshine Kids are set to broadcast on ABC from downtown Detroit's Gem Theater during the week of the Super Bowl, February 5. Check your local listings for channels and showtimes. -- Rachel Cericola
