FMQB is reporting exactly what I heard on the radio this morning: Howard Stern is coming back to television -- well for some anyway.
Those waiting to hear the new no-holds-barred version of the self-proclaimed King of All Media's radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio, will have an equally raunchy companion on the small screen. This morning, Howard announced that he has made a deal with Comcast Cable that will bring his radio show to their On Demand service.
Plan to put a small portion of your paycheck to Howard: The On Demand service, like Sirius, will cost you. The fee should be small, but it has not been determined yet. On Demand currently allows Comcast subscribers to watch movies and made-for-cable TV programming such as "The Sopranos" on their own time. Stern said the radio show will operate similarly, with new radio shows ready for viewing within a 24-hour period.
Expect programming to begin around the same time Stern moves his radio clan. He also plans to bring back staff from his now defunct E! television show, although he did not disclose any other specifics. -- Rachel Cericola
