When sitting down to watch a movie (or pretty much anything else for that matter), E! probably never enters your frame of mind. Now the "network" wants to expand that frame.
The Hollywood Reporter says that E! has made a deal with Sony Pictures. So in between episodes of "Wild On" and "True Hollywood Stories," you can actually watch movies. How novel for a channel that bills itself as the ultimate in entertainment.
But don't start popping corn just yet. The deal packages movies such as "Fargo," "Mystic Pizza, "Desperately Seeking Susan" and other classics that have already been beaten to death by selected other networks.
The first titles are set to debut on E! the week of August 22. -- Rachel Cericola
