Dancing Duel

Who would have thought that semi-washed-up stars tiptoe-ing through summer's TV trash would become a smash hit. I, for one, am shocked. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" was a surprise hit -- a big one. What's not so surprising is that people still have their pantyhose in a bunch over the big finale.

Get ready to settle the finely choreographed score. E! Online is reporting that the series will be coming back next month for a big dance-off. Since so many viewers cried foul over voting procedures, they're bringing winner Kelly Monaco and runner-up John "J. Peterman" O'Hurley back to tango once again.

For my money, Kelly Monaco deserved her crown just for the balls to wear those outfits on national TV. They would make a professional figure skater blush!

The 90-minute special is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, with the results show scheduled for Thursday, September 22. -- Rachel Cericola
