Charlize Theron Gets "Arrested"

Oscar-schmoscar! What makes Charlize Theron a great actress is that she can spot good roles. After she completes her kill count for "Aeon Flux," The Hollywood Reporter says the blonde beauty will be seen this season on FOX's "Arrested Development."

Theron's stint will last five episodes. She will play a British woman who falls for family keeper Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman). It's about time too, since Michael hasn't had too much luck with the ladies over the past two seasons.

The show has a great knack for working in cameos without making them seem like a crutch or too over-the-top. Previous guest stars include Liza Minelli, Heather Graham, Julia Louis Dreyfuss, Henry Winkler, and Carl Weathers, among others. The third season of "Arrested Development" premieres Monday, September 19 on FOX. -- Rachel Cericola
